As part of a competition won by the architecture office Vanden Eeckhoudt – Creyf, RYA acts as an engineering consultancy to support the renovation of a tertiary building towards a low-energy standard.
The compactness of the project and the reduction of heat-loss surfaces help address the specific constraints inherent to renovation projects, particularly those related to the existing building configuration and orientation. The PHPP study is an essential tool for optimising the interventions and achieving a balance between energy performance and budget control.
RYA also carries out the role of EPB consultant, supporting the project in complying with regulatory requirements regarding energy performance.
The project was awarded Exemplary Building 2011 status in the competition organised by IBGE (Brussels Institute for Environmental Management).
